Job Description

Eze Eclipse Software is seeking an experienced, motivated Technical Operations Engineer to join the Eze Eclipse Engineering team. Eze Eclipse Software is a leading global provider of best-in-breed software solutions and technology services designed to maximize investment and operational alpha for the entire institutional investment process and community. About the Team:

SS&C Eze Eclipse is an industry-leading SaaS solution for the financial services market. Aimed to be the front to back solution for emerging managers and hedge funds. As a Technical Operations Engineer, you will act as the highest point of escalation for our clients in resolving complex technical application issues. You will work in a fast-paced, continuous integration, continuous delivery ecosystem and ensure application uptime and performance across our customer base. Your duties will exist at a crossroads between Client Services, Site Reliability, Product Management and Development.

What you will get to do

  • Act as the highest point of escalation between Client Services and Development in answering questions and resolving issues around our products, services and infrastructure.

  • Identify operational problems by observing and studying system functions and performance results; investigating client complaints and suggestions; and completing troubleshooting procedures.

  • Develop, enhance and review observability tools to achieve operational targets around capacity and API response times

  • Advocate on behalf of the Client Services team to Product Management for proper prioritization of qualified defects and enhancements.

  • Act as a first responder to infrastructure/software related incidents to ensure reliability of our systems and keep us within committed SLA targets

  • Assist Product teams in new product roll out and data validation processes with customers

  • Update architectural and procedural knowledge base documentation to improve overall team knowledge, training and runbooks to be used by Engineering teams.

  • Act as the SME for the Geneva application technical support and it’s integration with Eze Eclipse.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major or minor in Computer Science/Mathematics or similarly technical/quantitative field; equivalent work or project experience

  • Experience in reading/writing queries in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL and Amazon Aurora databases

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services or similar cloud providers

  • Experience with API frameworks

  • Experience working with monitoring and observability (ELK, Splunk and CloudWatch)

  • Career-minded, logical-thinking individuals who are not afraid of challenges.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven passion and interest in technology

  • Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills

Additional Skills a Plus:

  • An understanding of test automation and working in an AGILE/scrum environment
  • 1-2 years’ experience with software/automation development (C# (.NET Core), C++, JavaScript, Python, or Go preferred)

  • Experience in working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

  • An understanding networking, HTTP protocols and Internet connectivity

  • Experience with developing and/or testing real-time application

  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket)

  • Experience working in Financial Technology Industry
