Job Description

The Utility Operator acts as a vital back-up for multiple positions within a production center including Machine Operator and Forklift Operator.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Act as the Machine Operator, Forklift Operator, and support efficient operation of warehouse when needed
Set up fillers and other machinery for production and ensure all necessary materials are available
Operate and monitor production equipment and replenish materials as needed
Visually inspect production run and document results
Determine and report malfunctions to the appropriate parties
Operate industrial vehicles and equipment to transport raw materials, full goods and/or finished goods to designated areas
Load and unload trailers and/or route trucks
Move product and/or materials manually as required
Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
Assist with daily housekeeping and maintenance including sweeping, mopping and rubbish removal
Run floor scrubber

Job Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
1+ years of prior warehouse or production experience preferred
Forklift certification preferred
Previous experience within a high-speed industrial environment and knowledge of industrial technology a plus
Must have the ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend and reach
Must have the ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
Must have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
