Make a real impact as a UX Research Contractor, partnering with a Fortune 500 insurance company through Aquent. You’ll be diving deep into user behavior, crafting research strategies, and ultimately shaping how this company communicates and simplifies its products for a seamless customer experience. As a UX Research Contractor, you will:
- Plan and conduct user research using a variety of methods (usability testing, surveys, interviews) and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Contribute to both UX and Market Research processes, from defining objectives to gathering continuous customer feedback.
- Plan and lead design thinking workshops, including problem statement creation, persona development, and journey mapping.
- Define research roadmaps and lead objective-setting discussions with stakeholder teams.
- Recommend the most effective research methods (e.g., usability testing, surveys, interviews, focus groups) based on project needs.
- Contribute to expert reviews and heuristic evaluations to identify usability and accessibility improvements.
- Communicate clear, concise, and actionable research findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, seeking and integrating feedback.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Marketing/Market Research, or a related field with 5+ years of UX or Market Research experience, or a Master’s degree in a related field with 3+ years of experience.
- Expertise in qualitative research methods (usability studies, focus groups, interviews, heuristic reviews).
- Proficiency in quantitative research methods (surveys, data analysis, report writing).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with research tools like Qualtrics and UserZoom.
- Familiarity with Design Thinking and Lean UX methodologies.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills, including presenting to leadership.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $46.75 to $51.95 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
