





We are seeking an Assistant Director of Student Wellbeing to join the senior leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a track record of demonstrating passion and commitment to supporting the wellbeing of a diverse student body in a university setting. The Assistant Director, Student Wellbeing, reporting to the Managing Director of Student Wellbeing, will be responsible for oversight of the Core Needs portfolio within Student Wellbeing. This includes, but is not limited to, oversight of the BU Food Pantry, including its day-to-day operations, supervision of student employees, and ensuring community awareness of resources. The Assistant Director will work with the senior leadership team to strategize and plan for the short and long term of core needs resources for our students. The Assistant Director, along with other members of the senior leadership team, will contribute to the creation and delivery of the department's programming and educational initiatives.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- 3-5 years in higher education, event planning for student populations, campus engagement
- Experience collaborating, developing partnerships, or building capacity with communities
- A track record of creative and successful problem-solving
- Excellent communications skills, including oral presentations, writing and editing
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
