We are seeking a skilled and proactive Perforce Administrator to manage and maintain our version control infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our Perforce environment, which supports a globally distributed development organization of ~3500 engineers at MathWorks. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in source control systems, hands-on experience administering Perforce SCM, and a strong focus on automation and process optimization.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with developers, release engineers who manage the CI infrastructure, and various infrastructure teams to gather requirements and deliver innovative solutions that exceed expectations.

Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Perforce (Helix Core) servers and associated tools
- Manage user access, permissions and perforce configurations (streams, branches, depots and workspaces)
- Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines
- Perform regular backups, upgrades, and performance tuning of Perforce infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to version control and integrations
- Develop and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and best practices
- Automate administrative tasks and improve workflows using scripting and tools
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness of the Perforce environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience administering Perforce in a production environment
- Perforce Certified Administrator or equivalent certification would be a plus!
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience integrating Perforce with build systems
- Ability to manage large-scale codebases and optimize performance
- Familiarity with networking, operating systems, software debugging, log analysis, and system security best practices
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus)
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and 10 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.
