Outreach Specialist

Riverside is seeking an Outreach Specialist to join our In-Home Therapy program.

In this role the Outreach Specialist provides safe, therapeutic, skill-based interventions and activities for youth and families, within the home and community, to help improve social, emotional, and family functioning.

The Outreach Specialist:

  • Participates in behavior management, limit setting and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Utilizes resources available through the program and in the community to support achievement of treatment goals and growth of youth and families being served.
  • Transports youth and families to designated activities and events within the context of treatment plan goals.
  • Closely communicates with Program Management, and other Home-Based Clinicians and Treatment Team members in support of service planning and appropriate service provision. 

Scheduled: Full Time 40 hours per week

  • Flexible hours between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. to meet the needs of the families

Pay Rate: $22.27/hourly

Required Skills

  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for transportation

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in mental health related discipline and one (1) year experience working with youth preferred
    • Associate Degree in Human Services field and one (1) year experience working with youth
    • High School Diploma or GED and minimum of two (2) years of experience working with youth
      required.
  • At least six months experience working with children and/or adolescents with emotional difficulties and their families required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
