Full Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Government Affairs & Communications Intern to support our public policy initiatives and strategic communications efforts. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of government relations, public policy, and corporate communications while contributing to Revvity's purpose to improve lives through science and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments relevant to Revvity's business interests
  • Conduct research on policy issues, industry trends, and competitive intelligence via trade, national and political media
  • Assist with event planning and logistics for government affairs activities
  • Track pending coverage and doing a daily scan for Revvity mentions; update coverage tracker as needed
  • Suggest articles for amplification and draft posts for the Newsroom and internal monitors
  • Update media list accordingly by adding suggested contacts and keeping other changes up to date
  • Help build out and update our comprehensive list of awards, events and speaking opportunities
  • Opportunity to draft press releases and/or media pitches
  • Support the team with administrative tasks and special projects as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, Business, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Interest in government affairs, public policy, and corporate communications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Previous internship experience in government, public affairs, or communications is a plus
  • Preference to be in Washington D.C or near our Waltham, MA headquarters
