Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Government Affairs & Communications Intern to support our public policy initiatives and strategic communications efforts. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of government relations, public policy, and corporate communications while contributing to Revvity's purpose to improve lives through science and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments relevant to Revvity's business interests
- Conduct research on policy issues, industry trends, and competitive intelligence via trade, national and political media
- Assist with event planning and logistics for government affairs activities
- Track pending coverage and doing a daily scan for Revvity mentions; update coverage tracker as needed
- Suggest articles for amplification and draft posts for the Newsroom and internal monitors
- Update media list accordingly by adding suggested contacts and keeping other changes up to date
- Help build out and update our comprehensive list of awards, events and speaking opportunities
- Opportunity to draft press releases and/or media pitches
- Support the team with administrative tasks and special projects as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, Business, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent research and analytical abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Interest in government affairs, public policy, and corporate communications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Previous internship experience in government, public affairs, or communications is a plus
- Preference to be in Washington D.C or near our Waltham, MA headquarters
