High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit required.
Graduate of an approved pharmacy technician program or institutional/retail pharmacy experience.Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must currently be a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the state of Massachusetts with an active pharmacy technician license without restrictions from the MA Board of Pharmacy.
Hold an active National Pharmacy Training Certification without restrictions.
Certified in Immunization Administration Course by an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (“ACPE”) accredited training program or become certified within 90 days of entering the role.
Successfully completed Certified Pharmacy Technician Continuing Education (CE) credits per calendar year as required by National Pharmacy Technician Certification and in accordance with Pharmacy Staff License Monitoring and Maintenance of Credentials Policy
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a retail pharmacy or outpatient pharmacy setting preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess working knowledge of pharmacy operations and cash handling experience. Requires knowledge of laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice and patient confidentiality.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills are preferred.
Must be team oriented and demonstrate excellent customer service skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and colleagues.
