




About This Role:
As the Product Development and Commercialization Lead for Lupus, you will lead the Global PDC team, driving the long-term success of a key asset in collaboration with an external pharmaceutical partner. Positioned within the immunology franchise, this Executive Director will lead an integrated cross-functional team to develop and execute a global strategic plan, life cycle management plans, and annual operating plans to enable sustainable market growth. You will partner closely with the operational teams across all regions to maximize long-term value for patients, while also meeting organizational objectives. Acting as the primary liaison with our external collaborators, you will foster robust partnerships, representing Biogen to strengthen relationships with the patient community and advocacy groups. Your efforts will be pivotal in ensuring Biogen is perceived as the partner of choice, maintaining productive collaborations with key stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
- Set strategic direction and define business goals for the Lupus asset.
- Ensure global strategies reflect customer insights and address critical business needs.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Drive regional and functional engagement across Medical, Research, Development, Value & Access, Corporate Affairs, Customer Excellence & Operations, Pharmaceutical Operations and Technology, Supply Chain, Legal and Compliance and other relevant areas to align on strategy.
- Develop and execute lifecycle management plans.
- Assess competition comprehensively to refine global strategies amidst changing market dynamics.
- Engage with key medical experts, advocacy organizations, and policy makers.
- Present strategic recommendations to executive committees and joint collaboration committees.
Who You Are:
You are a highly collaborative leader who is effective leading without direct authority. You are confident interfacing with senior level internal stakeholders, external collaborators, and external stakeholders such as key medical experts, patient advocacy organizations, public policy makers, and investors. You translate corporate strategy to an asset strategy and drive your teams to deliver measurable results.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with experience in asset leadership, managing matrixed cross-functional teams with direct accountability to a franchise, business unit, or executive team.
- 3+ years of experience in immunology development, launch, and/or commercialization.
- Proven track record in external collaborations and commercializing new assets.
- Thorough understanding of the drug development process.
- Anticipated travel: up to 20% international.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience leading a regional or global function, business unit, or affiliate.

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
